JOB ROLE: Senior Architect – Networking Systems
Location: PUNE (Hybrid)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Architect with deep expertise in systems design, protocol stacks, and Linux-based networking to lead the architecture of next-generation data-plane and control-plane systems.
This role requires exceptional technical depth, strong architectural leadership, and the ability to drive innovation across cross-functional engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive architecture for high-performance networking systems, including protocol stacks and distributed system interactions.
- Lead design decisions involving TCP/IP enhancements, kernel networking stack behavior, and user-space vs. kernel-space trade-offs.
- Architect scalable systems including multithreading models, memory architecture, and interrupt-driven designs.
- Oversee system-level performance engineering, including profiling, workload modeling, and scalability optimization.
- Collaborate with leadership, product, and engineering teams to shape long-term technology strategy and roadmap.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads; promote architectural best practices across teams.
- Develop high-quality technical design documents, strategy papers, and deep-dive analyses.
Qualifications- Education: BE/ME in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or MCS
- Experience: 10+ years in systems, networking, or kernel-level engineering with hands-on architecture ownership
Professional Skills- Strong visionary thinking with deep technical fundamentals
- Proven ability to drive large-scale architectural decisions across teams
- Excellent communication skills to influence engineering and executive stakeholders
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and methodical
Technical Expertise- Master-level proficiency in C/C++ and systems programming
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP architecture, routing/switching protocols, and packet processing systems
- Strong knowledge of multithreading, CPU scheduling, memory models, and interrupt handling
- Experience designing large-scale distributed or high-performance networking systems
- Solid background in virtualization, cloud networking, and containerized architectures
Preferred Experience- Exposure to satellite/teleport or managed WAN environments
- Experience with high-latency or variable-bandwidth networks
- Knowledge of Performance Enhancing Proxies (PEPs) such as TCP acceleration, spoofing, and compression techniques
