Role Description The Senior Architect role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Pune Division. The Senior Architect will lead the design and delivery of architectural projects from concept through construction, including feasibility studies, design development, detailed drawings, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants. Responsibilities include reviewing and refining architectural designs, ensuring integration with structural, MEP, and other building systems, and maintaining alignment with project budgets, timelines, and quality standards. The role involves mentoring junior architects, participating in design reviews, managing client communications, and presenting design proposals. The Senior Architect will also oversee documentation, support tender and construction processes, and ensure compliance with local regulations, sustainability goals, and VK Group’s “Better by Design” principles.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Architecture and Architectural Design skills, including concept development, space planning, and detailing for diverse project types.
- Candidates should possess experience in Integration and coordination with multidisciplinary teams (structural, MEP, interiors, environmental, and urban design).
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Software Development and integration concepts as they relate to design tools, BIM platforms, and digital workflows.
- Professional degree in Architecture from a recognized institution; registration with the Council of Architecture (India) or equivalent is preferred.
- Significant experience (typically 8+ years) in leading medium to large-scale architectural projects, ideally within urban or environmental design contexts.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar), along with strong presentation skills.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams, and guide junior staff with clear, constructive feedback.
