Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Architect role based in Chennai. The Senior Architect will lead architectural design from concept to completion, including space planning, schematic design, detailed drawings, and coordination with MEP and other services. The role involves collaborating closely with clients and internal stakeholders to understand functional requirements, translating them into practical and aesthetic design solutions aligned with project budgets and timelines. The Senior Architect will oversee design integration across interiors, structural, and services disciplines, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and client specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing drawings, guiding junior team members, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and supporting project managers in resolving design-related issues during execution.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience in end-to-end project design for commercial, corporate, or institutional spaces.
- Experience with Integration of architectural, interior, MEP, safety, and security systems to deliver cohesive and buildable design solutions.
- Exposure to Software Development or technical integration workflows is an advantage for coordinating with technology, networking, and security teams.
- Proven Project Management skills, including planning, stakeholder coordination, risk identification, and support for on-site execution.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution; professional licensure or registration is preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant design and documentation tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with applicable building codes and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor design teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with clients, consultants, and execution teams.
- Experience in Design & Build or turnkey interior contracting environments, particularly in IT, ITES, commercial, or industrial projects, is highly desirable.
