Role Description The Senior Architect will lead the architectural design and planning of residential and mixed-use projects within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This full-time, on-site role involves developing conceptual and detailed designs, preparing drawings and specifications, and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Architect will review designs for feasibility, compliance with local regulations and building codes, and alignment with project budgets and timelines. Responsibilities include guiding junior architects and designers, overseeing design documentation, participating in client meetings, and ensuring that design intent is maintained during execution. The role also requires regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve design issues, and uphold quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in architectural design, space planning, and residential project layout development.
- Experience with construction detailing, building codes, and regulatory approvals in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region or similar urban context.
- Advanced skills in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and familiarity with visualization tools (e.g., Photoshop, 3D rendering software).
- Proven ability to lead project design phases, coordinate with structural, MEP, and other consultants, and collaborate effectively with project management teams.
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior team members and managing multiple projects simultaneously under tight timelines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for client interactions, internal reviews, and cross-functional coordination.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; professional licensure/registration is preferred.
- Prior experience (typically 8+ years) in residential or mixed-use developments, ideally with a focus on high-density urban projects.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to sustainable, context-sensitive design.
