Role Description The Senior Architect will lead the design and development of architectural projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with the firm’s holistic and inclusive design philosophy. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves overseeing project planning, supervising design teams, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and reviewing drawings and specifications for quality and accuracy. The Senior Architect will conduct site visits, manage design revisions, and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities also include collaborating with clients, presenting design proposals, mentoring junior staff, and integrating innovative solutions into each project.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with experience leading complex projects.
- Ability to oversee Project Management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with stakeholders.
- Understanding of Integration between architectural design and related disciplines (MEP, structural, interior design) to ensure cohesive project delivery.
- Familiarity with Software Development concepts and digital tools as they relate to design workflows, BIM, and collaborative platforms.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, with registration or eligibility for registration as an architect preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and sustainable design practices, especially relevant to projects in Chennai.
