In this role, you will serve as a critical contributor, responsible for designing AI-powered educational systems capable of transforming how learners engage with content. You will utilize large language models as subject-matter specialists to construct contextual knowledge frameworks and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content that is substantive and effective. What You Will Be Doing
- Developing Self-Optimizing AI Content Generation Platforms – Constructing agent-based workflows that produce educational materials and continuously refine themselves through evaluation cycles and systematic testing.
- Establishing Evaluation Datasets & Experimental Frameworks – Building curated test sets (inputs → anticipated outputs) and scoring mechanisms to assess, benchmark, and enhance the quality of AI-produced content.
- Engineering Context Packs – Developing structured knowledge resources that deliver domain-specific grounding, enabling systems to create precise, high-caliber educational materials across multiple subjects.

Basic Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience embedding LLMs into production software systems (simple chatbot development or basic coding assistant usage does not qualify)
- Proven track record delivering production systems where autonomous agents guided system iteration (e.g., created their own utilities, optimized their own reward mechanisms, etc.)
- Background in developing evaluation or regression datasets that inform self-optimizing systems and establishing quantifiable performance metrics
- Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
