Role Description The Senior Application Engineer role is a full-time position based in Faridabad. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing automation and digitization solutions, including IIoT, machine-to-machine interfaces, and cloud-based applications for industrial customers. The Senior Application Engineer will translate customer requirements into technical specifications, configure and integrate hardware and software systems, and ensure reliable end-to-end functionality from shop floor equipment to reporting dashboards. Daily activities include working closely with cross-functional teams, troubleshooting system issues, optimizing performance, preparing technical documentation, and providing application-level support and training to clients. The role also requires active participation in project planning, timeline management, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance solution quality and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in industrial automation and control systems, including PLC/SCADA platforms (Rockwell/Allen Bradley preferred) and machine integration.
- Experience with IIoT, industrial networking, and data acquisition for OEE, digital reporting, and shop floor digitization solutions.
- Proficiency in application development or configuration for industrial environments, such as HMI/SCADA scripting, middleware, and basic database usage.
- Ability to interpret electrical and control drawings, create technical documentation, and support system commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes in sectors like automotive, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, or process industries is highly beneficial.
- Relevant degree in Engineering (e.g., Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related discipline) and 4-6 years of experience in automation or application engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid office/remote setup.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with customers, presenting solutions, and coordinating with internal project teams.
