A. About the Role:
The MIS IT Expert will be responsible for managing and analyzing project data, preparing MIS reports, and supporting project monitoring activities in the power sector. The role involves developing dashboards, generating insights from data, and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to support decision-making. The candidate will work closely with project teams to track progress, identify gaps, and enhance overall project efficiency through effective use of IT-based tools.
B. Detailed expectations from the role:
- Prepare, maintain, and update MIS reports on a regular basis for project monitoring.
- Analyze project data and generate actionable insights for management.
- Develop and manage IT-based MIS dashboards for real-time progress tracking.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data and reports.
- Coordinate with field teams and stakeholders for data collection and validation.
- Support senior management with presentations, reports, and performance summaries.
- Identify gaps or delays in project execution and highlight them proactively.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping of all project-related data.
C. Required skill set
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the power sector with a focus on MIS, reporting, and data analysis.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting and presentations.
- Experience in developing and managing IT-based MIS dashboards for project monitoring.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail.
D. Education and Experience
- 5 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
- BE/ B. Tech in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Electronics & Communication/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Computer Science/IT) from a recognized university.
F. Location
- Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and may require to travel in India.
