A. About the Role
The “Senior Analyst-Management Consulting (Project Supervision Engineer)” will be responsible for Supervision of field level activities; provide field level inputs and validate progress of the project. Coordinate with various field level counter staff and personnel stationed at HQ and Collate data from field etc.
B. Detailed expectations from the role
The “Senior Analyst-Management Consulting (Project Supervision Engineer)” will be reporting to the Project Leader, the key (broadly indicative) expectations shall be as below:
- Conduct regular site visits/field inspections to review work quality, workmanship, adherence to safety norms, and progress against targets.
- Identify deviations, bottlenecks, and risks at the field level and initiate corrective actions in consultation with project management and HQ
- Collect and verify field level information on physical progress (e.g., quantities executed, assets installed, services delivered) against approved plans and designs.
- Validate progress reported by contractors/implementing partners through spot checks, measurements, photographs, GPS coordinates, or other evidence as applicable.
- Provide realistic field inputs for project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and revisions to timelines or methodologies.
- Serve as the primary interface between field teams and HQ, ensuring timely two way communication of instructions, clarifications, issues, and support required
- Interact with local stakeholders (beneficiaries, community representatives, contractors, vendors, local authorities) to facilitate smooth execution of field activities, as per project design and communication protocols.
- Report incidents, near misses, and non-compliances, and support investigations and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain up to date records at field level: site registers, measurement sheets, checklists, inspection reports, photographs, stakeholder meeting records, and any regulatory documentation.
- Undertake extensive travel to project sites as required, including remote locations and outside normal working hours during peak or critical activities.
- Support emergency or special assignments (e.g., audits, inspections, incident response) as directed by senior management.
C. Required skill set
- Should be able to do multi-tasking on assignments and be able to deliver in typical consulting environment.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in power sector project implementation/ monitoring
- Should have assisted multiple power sector clients such as Private/State/Central Generators/ Electricity Regulatory Commissions/Rating Agencies, Government & Private Power Utilities, electricity consumer associations etc.
- Should stay well-informed about the latest trends and developments in the power sector regulatory landscape, including new policy notifications, amendments to the Electricity Act, and emerging regulations.
- Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have a proven ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Should be proficient in data analysis and adept at using presentation tools.
- Must have expertise in conducting in-depth research.
- Must have experience in conventional and non-conventional energy sources.
D. Education and Experience
- BE / B.Tech (Electrical / Mechanical /Civil).
- At least 5 years of experience in power sector project implementation and monitoring
- Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in Madhya Pradesh
F. Work Location
- Bhopal/Jabalpur/Anuppur (Madhya Pradesh)
- Open to travel for project execution and management
