Role Overview:
The VOE Specialist is responsible for confirming the employment and income stability of mortgage applicants. You will act as a primary point of contact between lenders and employers, ensuring all data matches the Uniform Residential Loan Application (Form 1003) to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
• Outbound Communication: Perform high-volume outbound calls to HR departments and employers to conduct Verbal Verifications of Employment (VVOE).
• Document Authentication: Review and validate W-2 statements, pay stubs, and tax returns for accuracy and consistency.
• Third-Party Systems: Utilize verification tools such as The Work Number, Equifax, or Truv to retrieve automated employment data.
• Compliance & Audit: Ensure all verifications adhere to RESPA, FHA, and VA loan requirements.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional calling experience, preferably in an international voice process or US mortgage – VOE process
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory for professional interaction with US-based employers and stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Outlook) and familiarity with mortgage-specific software.
• Shift Flexibility: Willingness to work in night shifts to align with US business hours (typically 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST).
