We’re looking for a sharp, analytical risk professional to join our Merchant Underwriting team and drive high-impact decisions in the fintech/payments ecosystem.
What You'll Do:
- Lead end-to-end risk assessment of complex merchant business models
- Conduct deep-dive financial analysis (P&L, tax filings, transaction patterns)
- Perform digital forensics & web validation using OSINT tools
- Audit merchant websites for Visa/Mastercard compliance (T&Cs, refund flows, checkout)
- Evaluate pricing models & revenue structures to detect risky practices
- Engage directly with founders/CXOs for risk consultation
- Build fraud detection logic & risk frameworks using data insights
- Collaborate with banks, partners & regulators on approvals & compliance
- Monitor merchant portfolio for risk drift & policy adherence
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years in Merchant Underwriting / Risk (Fintech/Payments)
- Strong exposure to high-risk or cross-border merchants
- Expertise in KYC/AML, FATF, BRAM/GBPP guidelines
- Hands-on with tools like Feedzai, Sift, or similar
- Ability to balance risk vs business growth (not just reject—structure solutions)
- MBA (Finance preferred); CFE is a plus
