Job Description
Job Title: Senior Amazon Ads Manager
Location: Remote
Experience Required: 4+ Years in Amazon Advertising
Type: Full-Time (Contracted via Pare)
About the RolePare is hiring a Senior Amazon Ads Manager for a multi-brand Amazon business running two Seller Central accounts and roughly 500 active SKUs, with monthly ad spend in excess of $50,000 across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display.
We are looking for an Advertising Manager who owns that spend end to end: someone who can hold TACoS down while volume grows, who knows where waste hides in a 500-SKU account, and who is comfortable making bid and budget decisions without waiting to be told.
This is a hands-on operator role, not a strategy-deck role. The business also advertises on Walmart, and wants someone who can extend what works on Amazon to that second channel.
What You'll Be Responsible ForAmazon PPC Management
- Full-funnel campaign management across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display in both Seller Central accounts, covering structure, targeting, bids, budgets, and placement adjustments
- Maintain a clean, segmented campaign architecture (brand vs non-brand, defensive, competitor, auto/discovery) across a catalogue of this size, including onboarding new SKUs and retiring dead ones
- Execute large-volume changes via bulk sheets. This account is too big to manage click-by-click in the console
- Ongoing search-term and placement analysis: harvest converting terms into exact match, adjust match types, tune placement modifiers, and prune what is not working
- Use Sponsored Brands and Brand Store placements to drive New-to-Brand orders and branded search, and report on whether new customers actually return
Walmart Advertising
- Extend the Amazon playbook to Walmart Connect and Walmart Marketplace
- Build and optimise campaigns on Walmart alongside the Amazon portfolio, and report on both together
Strategy & Performance Analysis
- Hit and defend agreed ACoS and TACoS targets at brand and portfolio level. Identify unprofitable spend and cut it; identify winners and scale them
- Build and maintain weekly and monthly reporting that ties ad spend to actual settlement revenue, not just in-platform attributed sales
- Flag brands whose efficiency is deteriorating before it shows up in the P&L
- Recommend where the next incremental dollar goes across brands, and make the case with data
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with listing, creative, and inventory so ad spend is not pushing traffic to poor listings or SKUs about to go out of stock
- Specify the reporting you need. There is an in-house development team available to build it
- Communicate recommendations clearly: what you would change, what it costs, and what you expect to happen
What We're Looking ForRequired
- 4+ years managing Amazon Sponsored Ads directly (agency or in-house/brand side both fine)
- Demonstrated experience managing $50,000+ per month in Amazon ad spend on a single account or portfolio. Be prepared to speak to the specifics
- Hands-on Walmart Connect or Walmart Marketplace advertising experience. The business runs Walmart alongside Amazon, and growing it is part of this role
- Experience with large catalogues: 250+ SKUs minimum, ideally 500+, across multiple brands or parent categories
- Hands-on fluency in Seller Central and the Amazon Ads console: campaign manager, bulk operations, search term and placement reports, Brand Analytics
- Strong command of the core metrics, and the judgement to know which one to optimise against in a given situation: ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, CPC, CVR, NTB share, break-even ACoS
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets: pivot tables, lookups, and comfort working with 50,000+ row exports
- Ability to explain a recommendation in plain language
Nice to Have
- Experience across both FBA and FBM, and with multiple Seller Central accounts
- Familiarity with the profitability side: settlement reports, referral and FBA fees, promotional rebates, and how they change the real break-even
- Amazon DSP or Amazon Marketing Cloud experience
- Experience briefing designers on Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display creative, and reading creative performance data well enough to know what to ask for next
- Rules-based bidding or third-party tooling (Perpetua, Helium 10 Adtomic, Quartile, Scale Insights), plus the judgement to know when automation is the wrong answer
- SQL, Python, or Power BI/Looker for reporting automation
- Experience in health and personal care, industrial/B2B, or other regulated or niche categories
- Amazon Ads certification
Success in the First 90 Days- 30 days: A full audit of both accounts delivered: campaign structure, wasted spend, gaps in SKU coverage, and a prioritised fix list
- 60 days: Targeting and bid refinements implemented across all active campaigns, with a reporting cadence live and trusted
- 90 days: Measurable movement on portfolio TACoS at flat or growing revenue, plus a documented budget reallocation plan for the following quarter
Who Typically Does Well In This RoleThe strongest candidates usually:
- Have personally managed meaningful Amazon ad budgets, not just reported on them
- Can explain the reasoning behind campaign decisions
- Think beyond simple ACoS optimisation
- Understand how PPC impacts organic rank and overall business growth
- Are comfortable owning a channel end to end with a short decision chain
- Are proactive communicators
