Job Title: Senior AI Software Engineer
Location: Remote
Engagement Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: 25 LPA to 40 LPA
About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join a fast-moving product team. This role is not a traditional coding position you will serve as the *technical lead and facilitator of AI-driven development*, guiding AI agents to produce high-quality, production-grade software. Your deep system design expertise will be the critical differentiator.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and guide AI coding agents (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to produce architecturally sound, scalable software
- Make critical system design decisions and ensure AI-generated code adheres to best practices
- Communicate development progress and technical decisions back to the broader team
- Identify and prevent common architectural pitfalls before they manifest in production
- Collaborate closely with senior technical stakeholders (architects, CTOs) on design direction
Required Skills & Experience
- *7+ years* of software engineering experience with a strong focus on *system design and architecture*
- Proven experience with distributed systems and production-grade application design
- Deep understanding of critical design patterns, including:
*Idempotency*
*Multiphase commits / distributed transactions*
*Data consistency and system reliability patterns*
- Hands-on expIdempotencyking with *AI coding agents and tools* (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
- Ability to recognize when AI-generated code introduces architectural risk and redirect accordingly
- Strong communication skills able to translate technical decisions for non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Domain experience in *Healthcare Analytics Industry*
- Prior experience in a *software architect* or *tech lead* role at a mid-to-large organization
- Experience mentoring junior developers or reviewing AI-generated code at scale
What We're NOT Looking For
- Junior or mid-level developers, regardless of AI tool proficiency.
- Engineers who rely on AI agents without the system design foundation to guide them effectively
*Candidates will go through an AI-led interview process as part of screening. Comfort with AI tools is a baseline expectation for this role.*
