Role: Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Security & Governance Engineer to design and implement runtime safety controls for enterprise AI systems. This role is focused on embedding responsible AI protections directly into production environments through engineering, automation, and governance-by-design approaches.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI runtime protection mechanisms, including:
- Prompt filtering
- Output validation
- Misuse and abuse prevention controls
- Build and enforce AI governance through code, automation, and policy-driven systems
- Develop auditability, traceability, monitoring, and control frameworks for AI applications
- Define reusable AI safety patterns and secure operational standards across AI agents and workflows
- Identify and mitigate AI risk scenarios, vulnerabilities, and failure modes
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and governance teams to implement enterprise-grade AI safeguards
- Create scalable guardrail architectures for LLM-based systems and AI platforms
- Support secure deployment practices and runtime governance for AI-enabled applications
Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with Python and scripting
- Experience building or working with:
- Security and governance-related systems
- Policy-as-code frameworks
- Rule engines and automated enforcement systems
- Strong understanding of:
- AI hallucinations
- Prompt injection attacks
- Data leakage risks

- Runtime AI security controls
- Enterprise compliance and governance mindset
- Experience implementing secure automation and validation mechanisms

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience working with enterprise AI/LLM platforms
- Strong understanding of AI security architecture and governance engineering
- Hands-on experience implementing runtime safeguards for generative AI systems
- Ability to balance innovation enablement with enterprise risk controls
