About Role:
We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and deployment of computer vision models in production environments. You will own the ML architecture, improve model performance, and ensure systems scale reliably.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can architect solutions, debug real-world performance issues, and ship production-grade AI systems.
This is a short-term contract/project-based opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize computer vision pipelines for real-time inference
- Diagnose and improve model accuracy, latency, and robustness
- Evaluate and select appropriate models and architectures for the use case
- Implement end-to-end ML solutions from data preparation to deployment
- Collaborate with backend and frontend teams on system integration
- Mentor junior ML engineers and establish best practices
- Document technical decisions and communicate complex concepts clearly
Qualifications
- 4+ years of production experience in machine learning or computer vision
- Strong expertise in pose estimation, object detection, activity recognition, or related domains
- Proficiency in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- Experience building and deploying real-time computer vision systems (not research-only)
- Solid understanding of model optimization: quantization, pruning, inference acceleration
- Comfortable with video processing, temporal modeling, and multi-object tracking
- Experience with REST APIs, containerization (Docker), and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Track record of shipping production systems under performance constraints
- Knowledge of data annotation, labeling pipelines, and dataset management
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability for ML systems
- Open-source contributions or published work in computer vision
- Experience with FastAPI, MongoDB, or similar backend stacks
