Role Description The Senior Admissions Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in (khariar Nuapada). WFH mode This role involves guiding prospective learners through the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment, while providing accurate information about programs, eligibility, and career outcomes.
The Senior Admissions Counselor will handle phone, email, and in-person inquiries, conduct counseling sessions, organize campus or information events, and maintain applicant records in admissions systems. The role includes collaborating with academic and marketing teams to align admissions messaging with program offerings, meeting enrollment targets through ethical and student-centric counseling, and tracking conversion metrics to support data-driven decision-making. The Senior Admissions Counselor will also support outreach activities such as school or college visits and webinars to build awareness of Vidya Institute Education’s programs.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Communication and Communication skills for counseling prospective learners and collaborating with internal teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive, respectful, and solution-focused support to applicants and families.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to meet enrollment goals through ethical persuasion, lead conversion, and relationship-building.
- Candidates should possess Education-related knowledge to understand academic programs, eligibility criteria, and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated experience in admissions, counseling, or student services, preferably in higher education or vocational training.
- Ability to work with CRM or admissions management software, and proficiency in common office productivity tools.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inquiries and applications simultaneously.
- Comfort with presenting to groups, conducting seminars/webinars, and representing the institute at outreach events.
