Role Description The Senior Admission Counsellor is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore. The role involves meeting and counseling prospective students and families, explaining suitable study abroad options, scholarship opportunities, and admission pathways. Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing student profiles, recommending appropriate universities and programs, guiding students through application and documentation processes, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. The Senior Admission Counsellor will handle follow-ups via phone, email, and in-person meetings, provide visa and pre-departure guidance, maintain accurate records in counseling and CRM systems, and contribute to seminars, webinars, and outreach activities. The role also includes mentoring junior counsellors, ensuring adherence to compliance and ethical standards, and supporting continuous improvement of counseling processes.
Qualifications
- Strong student counseling and advisory skills, including profile assessment, academic guidance, and career pathway planning.
- Experience with international admissions processes, including application preparation, documentation, and scholarship or funding guidance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and build trust with students and families.
- Organizational and time-management skills, including attention to detail, follow-up discipline, and accurate record-keeping using CRM or similar tools.
- Knowledge of study options in Italy, Germany, Ireland, the UK, and Dubai, including basic understanding of visa procedures and entry requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team, mentor junior staff, and support events such as seminars and information sessions.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a degree in Education, Counseling, Management, or related fields is preferred.
- Prior experience in overseas education consulting, university admissions, or career counseling is highly beneficial.
- Comfort working in an on-site environment in Indore and flexibility to engage with students during peak admission cycles.
