Job details:
Cash is forecasted with precision, then vanishes into operational limbo. In B2B commerce, 20–30% of invoices slide past their due dates each quarter, buried under "processing delays," portal errors, and ambiguous disputes that accumulate in aging reports. Finance leaders struggle to reconcile variance while liquidity sits frozen. The standard industry fix is layered oversight and persistent follow-up—but DSO continues to creep upward, and quarter-close becomes a predictable exercise in explaining shortfalls.
Trilogy has chosen a different approach: manage collections as a disciplined performance discipline. Each day begins with a quantified action agenda tied directly to forecast. We use AI to prioritize accounts by cash value and probability of closure, then systematically eliminate blockers until funds clear into our accounts. Disputes are not merely "monitored"—they are closed with supporting evidence, customer acknowledgment, and a confirmed settlement date. The objective is straightforward: convert forecasted cash into realized cash on the precise day projected, enabling the entire organization to operate with greater velocity.
In this position, you will design and execute a daily collection agenda with zero tolerance for variance, eliminate payment friction before it compounds into aging issues, resolve disputes with audit-grade documentation, and reduce the aging inventory until only genuine exceptions persist. If your natural response is to escalate with precision, identify the true obstacle, secure written customer commitment, and lock a payment timeline, this role will fit your instincts. If you prefer to monitor from dashboards and wait for period-end, it will not.
You will operate at the core of the cash engine, working in concert with forecasting and revenue operations: they model risk and signal exposure; you eliminate it and deliver results. Your toolkit includes AI-powered account ranking, direct customer engagement, and a disciplined rejection of outdated aged receivables. If you are prepared to transform quarter-end from a precipice into a controlled glide path, apply now.
What You Will Be Doing
- Execute a daily cash action plan: define exact collection objectives, deliver without deviation, and investigate any shortfall until the underlying cause is eliminated.
- Resolve payment delays and disputes with speed: engage customers directly on remittance, portal, and registration obstacles, obtain written commitment with a fixed payment date, and confirm funds are received.
- Monitor and compress the aging ledger daily: eliminate or reclassify outdated items with supporting documentation and deliver actionable recommendations that reduce aged AR consistently week over week.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Building quarterly forecasts or multi-year cash generation strategies
- Administrative work disconnected from cash realization.
- Internal process evaluations or meetings without a clear connection to collection execution or dispute resolution.
Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the on-time collection of 100% of all invoices forecasted for the quarter, eliminating delays and ensuring cash is received exactly as forecasted.
Basic Requirements
- A university degree in a finance-related subject
- At least 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
- Demonstrated history resolving customer disputes related to collections
- Availability to work on weekends
