Job details:
Cash forecasts arrive on schedule, then disappear into the void. In B2B environments, 20–30% of invoices routinely exceed their due date each quarter, buried under "processing delays," portal failures, and ambiguous disputes that accumulate in aging reports. Finance departments work overtime to explain the variance while liquidity remains frozen. The standard industry fix involves adding more layers of review and follow-up emails—but DSO continues to creep upward, and quarter-close transforms into a ceremony of justifications.
Trilogy has chosen a fundamentally different approach: manage collections with the rigor of a precision discipline. Each day begins with a quantified action plan tied directly to forecast targets. We use AI to prioritize accounts by cash value and collectability, then eliminate blockers until funds clear into our account. Disputes are not merely "monitored"—they are closed with supporting evidence, customer acknowledgment, and a documented payment commitment. The objective is straightforward: convert forecasted cash into deposited cash on the precise date committed, enabling the entire organization to operate at higher velocity.
In this position, you will design and execute a zero-miss daily collection strategy, eliminate payment delays before they escalate into aged receivables, resolve disputes with audit-grade documentation, and reduce the aging bucket to only genuine exceptions. If your natural approach is to escalate strategically, identify the true obstacle, secure written customer agreement, and lock in a commitment date, this role will suit you. If you prefer to monitor dashboards passively and wait for month-end reconciliation, it will not.
You will operate at the core of the cash engine, working alongside forecasting and revenue operations: they model risk and flag concerns; you address them and deliver results. Your toolkit includes AI-powered prioritization, precise customer communication, and a refusal to tolerate stale aging items. If you are prepared to transform quarter-end from a crisis into a controlled process, step forward and apply!
What You Will Be Doing
- Execute a daily cash playbook: define exact collection objectives, deliver without deviation, and investigate any shortfall until the underlying cause is eliminated.
- Resolve payment delays and disputes rapidly: engage customers directly on remittance, portal, or registration obstacles, obtain written confirmation and a committed payment date, and confirm cash receipt.
- Monitor and reduce the aging bucket daily: clear or reassign stale entries with supporting evidence and drive actionable recommendations that decrease aged AR each week.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Building quarterly forecasts or long-term cash generation strategies
- Administrative duties with no measurable effect on cash collection.
- Process evaluations or internal meetings that lack a direct connection to collections or dispute resolution.
Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities
- Guarantee the punctual collection of 100% of all invoices forecasted for the quarter, removing obstacles and ensuring cash is deposited precisely as forecasted.
Basic Requirements
- A university degree in a finance-related subject
- At least 5 years of experience in collections or accounts receivable
- Demonstrated history resolving customer disputes related to collections
- Availability to work on weekends
