Role Description The Sr. Accounts Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing financial operations and account management for Tamilnadu Now. This role includes managing day-to-day accounting activities, such as bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, and financial reporting. The Sr. Accounts Manager will monitor cash flow, prepare monthly and annual financial statements, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. They will collaborate with internal teams to manage project budgets for content production, track expenses, and provide financial insights to support strategic decisions. The role also involves coordinating with external auditors, vendors, and financial institutions, implementing process improvements, and mentoring junior accounting staff to maintain accurate and efficient financial practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Reporting: MIS Handling and analytical reporting.
- Core Accounting: Bookkeeping and day-to-day ledger maintenance.
- Compliance & Legal: Managing company statutory requirements and compliance follow-ups.
- Taxation: End-to-end GSTR & TDS preparation and filing.
- Payroll: Managing monthly payroll processing.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, cash flow management, and handling vendor and client accounts.
- Knowledge of relevant tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes applicable to media or entertainment organizations.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, content-driven environment.
