Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Executive – Accounts with 4+ years of relevant experience to join our Finance & Accounts team at our Kolkata office.
The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, Indian taxation, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The role requires hands-on experience in maintaining books of accounts, preparing financial statements, handling GST, TDS, Income Tax compliances, ROC matters, and generating MIS reports. Experience in a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilties
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate Books of Accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.
- Compute, prepare, and ensure timely payment of TDS, GST, Advance Tax, and other statutory dues.
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, and Income Tax returns within prescribed timelines.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Indian taxation laws and statutory regulations.
- Handle ROC-related compliances and statutory filings.
- Perform ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, vendor and customer reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, financial analysis, and management reports.
- Assist during statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, and other regulatory audits.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and strengthen internal financial controls.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in CA Firm.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Strong understanding of Indian Accounting Standards and accounting principles.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax, Tax Audit, and ROC compliances.
- Experience in preparation of Financial Statements and statutory reports.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
