Senior Accountant, Audit & Quality Reviewer – Finance & Accounting

We are a growing finance consulting firm working with international clients. Our fully remote teams deliver high-quality accounting, audit, and compliance support, with a strong focus on accuracy, ethics, and audit-readiness.
Role Purpose
The Senior Accountant, Audit & Quality Reviewer will be responsible for reviewing accounting work, ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness of financial records and reports before submission to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting data entries and review of accounting transactions, journal entries, and general ledger postings
- Validate reconciliations, trial balances, and adjusting entries
- Perform quality reviews of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP / IFRS)
- Identify errors, unusual entries, misclassifications, or compliance gaps
- Ensure financials are audit-ready with proper documentation, schedules and working papers
- Provide clear review feedback and corrective guidance to accounting teams
- Support internal and external audits, as required
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Hands-on experience with GL accounting, reconciliations, and finalization of accounts
- Working knowledge of GAAP / IFRS
- Strong Excel skills (formulas, reconciliations, data validation)
- Experience with accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- CA / ACCA / CPA (Qualified or Finalist preferred)
