Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Amritsar, responsible for managing and overseeing the company’s financial operations. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, maintaining general ledgers, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The role involves overseeing tax compliance, coordinating audits, reconciling bank and vendor accounts, and monitoring cash flow. The Senior Accountant will also assist in budgeting, financial analysis, cost control related to export operations, and providing financial reports and insights to management for decision-making. Collaboration with internal teams, external auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies is expected to maintain compliance and support business growth.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong accounting and finance skills, including general ledger management, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in taxation and compliance, with experience in statutory filings, audit coordination, and adherence to relevant accounting standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control, preferably within manufacturing, export, or FMCG sectors.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, along with the ability to work with ERP or similar financial systems.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is required; professional certifications such as CA, CMA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior accounting role, preferably 5+ years, and exposure to export documentation or international trade finance will be beneficial.
