Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Accountant role based in Sonipat. The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking. The role involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. The Senior Accountant will oversee inventory accounting, cost analysis, and margin tracking relevant to the food and beverage business. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and improve internal financial controls and processes. The role also includes coordinating with external auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in core accounting, including general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and month-end and year-end closing.
- Proficiency in taxation, statutory compliance, and regulatory reporting, preferably with experience in Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax).
- Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and margin analysis, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or F&B sectors.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software/ERPs and advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and standard operating procedures.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA/CPA/CMA (fully or partially qualified) is an advantage.
- 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Ability to work on-site in Sonipat, with a proactive and ownership-driven approach to responsibilities.
