About the Role
Tripod Global is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the organization's accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounts payable and receivable, taxation, statutory compliances, audits, and government regulations. The candidate should be capable of independently handling day-to-day accounting functions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
- Maintain and update customer and vendor ledgers on a daily basis, ensuring accuracy and timely reconciliation.
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding payments and ensure timely collection of receivables.
- Process vendor payments as per agreed terms and maintain proper payment schedules.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, cash books, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure timely recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with applicable auditing standards.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in:
- GST compliance, return filing, reconciliation, and the GST Portal.
- Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) calculations, deductions, return filing, and reconciliations.
- Income Tax provisions and compliance.
- Provident Fund (PF), Professional Tax (PT), ESI, and other payroll-related statutory compliances.
- Government regulations related to taxation and statutory filings.
- Liaise with government departments, auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities whenever required.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and maintenance of all compliance records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CA Inter, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
- Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management.
- Excellent knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, PT, ESI, and other statutory compliances.
- Proficiency in using the GST Portal and other government tax portals.
- Experience with accounting software such as Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Zoho Books, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
- Strong MS Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and client follow-up skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
