About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced E-Commerce Accountant & Operations Executive for our client, K-LUST Perfumes, a growing premium fragrance brand. The candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities along with e-commerce operations, marketplace management, sales reconciliation, order and payment tracking, and financial coordination across online sales channels.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in e-commerce business operations and a good understanding of marketplace accounting, payment gateway settlements, inventory reconciliation, and online sales processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Management**
- Maintain day-to-day accounting records, vouchers, purchase and sales entries.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, expenses, and vendor payments.
- Perform bank reconciliation and maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare sales reports, expense statements, and periodic MIS reports.
- Coordinate with the CA and tax consultants for GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
2. E-Commerce & Marketplace Operations**
- Manage day-to-day operations across e-commerce platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa and other marketplaces.
- Monitor online orders, sales, cancellations, returns, refunds, and RTO transactions.
- Track marketplace commissions, fees, deductions, settlements, and payment cycles.
- Reconcile marketplace sales reports with actual bank settlements and accounting records.
- Coordinate with marketplace support teams for payment discrepancies, claims, and operational issues.
3. E-Commerce Business Accounting**
- Maintain channel-wise sales and profitability reports.
- Reconcile payment gateway transactions, COD collections, and online payments.
- Track inventory movement, stock reconciliation, and product-wise sales.
- Monitor logistics, shipping charges, returns, and fulfilment-related expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of marketplace receivables and pending settlements.
4. Business Operations & Reporting**
- Coordinate with the warehouse, logistics, customer support, and e-commerce teams.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly business performance reports.
- Support management in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely completion of operational and accounting activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and e-commerce operations.
- Practical experience with marketplace accounting and operations.
- Good knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and other marketplace seller panels.
- Experience in sales reconciliation, payment settlements, GST, and inventory accounting.
- Working knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel and Google Sheets.
- Understanding of payment gateways, COD reconciliation, returns, refunds, and RTO processes.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Accuracy, ownership, and attention to detail.
Educational Qualification
B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Candidate: Someone who has worked with a D2C brand, e-commerce company, online seller, or consumer product business.
