About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant with strong exposure to UK accounting practices, Indian taxation, GST, payroll processing, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing end-to-end accounting operations for UK-based clients along with compliance requirements in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping and accounting for UK-based clients
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Handle Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and review MIS reports and management accounts
- Work on UK accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Manage India taxation, GST filings, TDS, and statutory compliances
- Process payroll and ensure timely salary disbursement and statutory deductions
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and external stakeholders
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial records
- Maintain documentation and accounting controls
- Assist in process improvements and automation initiatives
Required Skills & Experience
- CA Appeared / Semi-Qualified CA
- 5–6 years of relevant accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting and bookkeeping practices
- Good understanding of Indian taxation, GST, TDS, and payroll
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or similar ERP systems
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple clients/tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with UK clients or accounting outsourcing firms
- Knowledge of VAT returns and UK payroll is an added advantage
- Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms
- Team handling or mentoring experience preferred
