Position: Deputy – Accounts (TL)
Reports To: Finance Head
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 4–5 years in Accounting & Finance
Salary Range: ₹40,000
Role Overview:
The Deputy (Accounts) will assist the Finance Head in day-to-day accounting operations and act as the in-charge during their absence. The role requires strong hands-on experience in accounting, reconciliations, TDS/GST compliance, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP systems
Handle vendor, customer, and bank ledger reconciliations
Supervise TDS deduction, payments, and return filing
Ensure timely GST data preparation, GSTR-2B reconciliation, GSTR-3B workings, and filing
Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits
Oversee sales and purchase accounting and manage the team
Manage cash flow reporting and vendor payments
Review the work of junior accountants and ensure accuracy
Act as Finance Head in their absence, handling approvals, queries, and financial controls
Required Skills:
Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data validation, reconciliation automation)
Strong knowledge of TDS, GST, and accounting standards, compliances
High attention to detail with an ownership mindset
Good communication and team management skills
Preferred Qualification & Experience:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Inter CA
Minimum 2 years of experience in a mid-sized Private Limited company environment
