Position: Deputy - Accounts
Reports To: Finance Head
Location: Mumbai
Experience: 4–5 years in Accounting & Finance
salary range: 40k

Role Overview:
The Deputy (Accounts) will assist the Finance Head in day-to-day accounting operations and act as the in-charge during their absence. The role demands strong hands-on knowledge of accounting, reconciliations, TDS/GST compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee daily accounting entries in Tally/ERP system

· Handle vendor, customer, and bank ledger reconciliations

· Supervise TDS deduction, payment, and return filing

· Ensure timely GST data preparation, reconciliation, and filing

· Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet schedules, and MIS reports

· Coordinate with auditors for statutory and internal audits

· Manage cash flow reporting and vendor payments

· Review work of junior accountants and ensure accuracy

· Act as Finance Head in their absence - responsible for approvals, queries, and financial controls

Required Skills:

· Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, data validation, reconciliation automation)

· Sound knowledge of TDS, GST, and accounting standards

· Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset

· Good communication and team-handling ability

Preferred:

· Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Inter CA
