Role Description: The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bandra. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking for multiple productions and the corporate entity. The Senior Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements assist with budgeting and forecasting, and monitor cash flow specific to film projects. The role involves coordinating with teams, vendors and external auditors to ensure accurate financial documentation, compliance with relevant accounting standards and timely reporting. The Senior Accountant will also help optimize financial processes, support internal controls and provide actionable insights to leadership based on financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial records.
* Prepare and maintain MIS reports, financial statements, and reconciliations.
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and cash flow management.
* Ensure timely GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
* Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate documentation and support financial planning and budgeting.
* Develop and streamline accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.
* Ensure complete confidentiality while handling financial and business information.
* Work closely with management to support financial decision-making.
Requirements
* 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience.
* Prior experience in the media, entertainment, production, or corporate sector is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
* Highly proactive, dependable, and capable of working independently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
