Role: Senior Accountant (Remote - India)

We’re currently seeking dynamic individuals with strong technical acumen and a proactive mindset to join us as Senior Accountant.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate financial records.
- Categorize transactions and review bank and credit card feeds for proper classification.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts regularly.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable workflows with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory standards.
- Review the work of junior team members and provide feedback.
- Support internal reviews by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and internal management reports in accordance with US GAAP.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and assist with ad hoc financial analyses.
- Perform other accounting-related and administrative duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
- CPA, ACCA, or CA certification (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, including accounting for eCommerce businesses.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite.
- Experience working with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and Amazon.
- Proven experience reconciling payment processors and marketplaces (Stripe, PayPal, Square), including fees, refunds, and chargebacks.
- Strong understanding of eCommerce revenue recognition and inventory accounting.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and financial reporting under U.S. GAAP.
- Proven track record of resolving inventory discrepancies and strengthening COGS controls in multi-system environments.
- Experience validating account balances within a structured leadsheet framework, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper rollforward support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (especially Excel/Sheets).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical abilities.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Work Schedule
- Full-time availability, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
