We're looking for a hands-on leader to head our Accounting & Finance team in Pune. This is a role for someone who can manage people and deliverables across multiple clients, and still roll up their sleeves and execute when it counts.

What you'll do
- Lead and manage the Accounting & Finance team, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables
- Review accounting, MIS reports, budgets, and dashboards prepared by the team
- Own multiple client engagements through effective planning and prioritization
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting and reconciliations
- Act as the primary point of contact for client communication, audit support, and compliance
- Mentor team members and provide guidance and performance feedback
- Step in at the execution level during critical or high-pressure situations
- Drive process improvements, SOP development, and automation initiatives
- Support onboarding of new clients, including transition planning and system setup
What we're looking for
Must-haves:
- CA / CA Inter
- 7-8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and MIS
- Proven experience managing teams (ideally 8-10 members) in a multi-client environment
- Strong expertise in accounting software: Zoho Books, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, Tally, or similar
- In-depth knowledge of end-to-end accounting, including month-end and year-end closing
- Strong grasp of general ledger, reconciliations, AP/AR, and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel for financial analysis, MIS reporting, and dashboarding
Nice-to-haves:
- Exposure to US / UK / international GAAP
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Knowledge of audit coordination, compliance, and statutory requirements
