ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a diligent and experienced Senior Accountant to handle day-to-day accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. The candidate should have strong working knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, TDS, and accounting standards applicable to Indian companies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting & Bookkeeping
• Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime / ERP software
• Record all day-to-day transactions — sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries
• Perform bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, and inter-branch reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable with regular ageing reports
• Handle petty cash management and expense tracking
GST & Indirect Tax Compliance
• Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B
• Reconcile ITC (Input Tax Credit) as per GSTR-2A / 2B
• Ensure correct application of GST rates on transactions — goods and services
TDS & Direct Tax Compliance
• Compute and deduct TDS as per applicable rates under Income Tax Act
• Deposit TDS on time and file quarterly returns
• Issue Form 16 / 16A to employees and vendors within due dates
• Assist in income tax assessments, notices, and advance tax computation
Financial Reporting & Audit Support
• Prepare trial balance, P&L account, and Balance Sheet
• Assist in preparation of financial statements as per Companies Act 2013 and applicable Ind AS
• Co-ordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and tax auditors
• Prepare audit schedules and resolve audit queries in a timely manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
• B.Com / M.Com from a recognised university (mandatory)
• CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA – Finance preferred
Technical Knowledge:
• Proficiency in Tally Prime (must), Zoho and MS Excel
Soft Skills:
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle compliance deadlines independently
• Good written and verbal communication in English and Hindi
• Team player with ability to guide junior accountants
