Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Senior Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger entries, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring accurate recording of revenue and expenses. Responsibilities include monitoring accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. The role involves ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, taxation rules, and regulatory requirements, while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis, improve internal controls, and support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
- Candidates should possess skills in taxation and compliance, such as knowledge of Indian tax regulations, GST, TDS, and statutory filings.
- Candidates should possess financial planning and analysis skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting and ERP software, as well as solid skills in MS Excel and other productivity tools.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with management, external auditors, and cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Candidates should possess relevant experience in accounting roles, preferably at a senior level; experience in media, entertainment, or production environments is beneficial.
