Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Accountant based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Senior Accountant will oversee financial operations, including preparing financial statements, managing budgets, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The role involves reconciling accounts, managing payroll, analyzing financial reports, supervising junior accountants, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong competency in financial reporting, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making.
- Proficiency in accounting software, spreadsheets (Excel), and automated ERP systems.
- Knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit preparation processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead junior accounting staff and collaborate across departments effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain industries.
