Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support management in decision-making. The role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to lead junior staff in maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and financial performance.
- Review and finalize journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
- Develop and implement efficient accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise junior accountants and accounting staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s/CA/CPA preferred).
- Proven work experience (5–8 years) in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), taxation, and compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
