About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Senior Accountant to lead our day-to-day financial operations. In this role, you will oversee accounting accuracy, ensure strict statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Customs/Export docs), manage month-end financial closings, and guide other team members. This position is ideal for a proactive finance professional who can handle complex accounting tasks independently in a fast-paced international manufacturing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight & Bookkeeping: Supervise and verify daily accounting entries, ledgers, and general journals to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Statutory & Tax Compliance: Independently handle filing, reconciliation, and compliance for GST, TDS, TCS, and Income Tax.
- Export & Customs Documentation: Manage international trade financial documents, including LC (Letter of Credit), e-BRC, foreign inward remittances, and export invoicing.
- Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes; prepare Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss statements, and Cash Flow statements.
- Audit & Banking Management: Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, tax officials, and banking partners; handle bank reconciliations and credit operations.
- Payables & Receivables Control: Oversee vendor payments, customer credit control, and aging reports to maintain healthy working capital.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com); CA Inter or equivalent is a strong plus.
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of core accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing or export company.
- Software Skills: Advanced hands-on experience with Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, financial formulas). ERP experience (like Zoho) is a bonus.
- Tax & Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indian GST laws, TDS deductions/returns, and export/import accounting procedures.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving ability, high integrity, and clear communication skills.
