Role Description The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounting operations, including ledger maintenance, journal entries, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The role includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and ensuring timely closing of books in line with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will review and validate financial data, support audits, prepare tax-related documentation, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities. This role also involves mentoring junior team members, improving internal controls, and coordinating with management and external stakeholders to address financial queries. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vasai.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and audit support.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced skills in spreadsheet and financial analysis tools.
- Ability to interpret financial data, prepare reports, and support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
- Experience mentoring or supervising junior accounting staff and contributing to process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a consultancy, professional services firm, or multi-client environment is beneficial.
