Role Description
The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. This full-time role is on-site in Ahmedabad and involves preparing financial statements, reviewing budgets, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial data to support management reporting, cost control, and profitability assessments, and will coordinate with internal teams and external auditors as needed. The role also includes improving accounting processes, implementing controls, and supporting strategic financial planning to help guide business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly and annual closing activities.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software, Excel, and other financial analysis tools.
- Understanding of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare reports, and provide insights for budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are a plus.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably within technology or service-based organizations.
