Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of CloudGate's day-to-day accounting in Zoho Books. The role is open to candidates in India, Egypt, or the UAE.
You will manage customer invoicing, expense logging, vendor bill processing, bank reconciliations across multiple currencies, and the monthly close. You will produce P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, build management reports on revenue and margin by service line (Azure, Fabric, Security, Modern Work, AVS) and customer, and reconcile Microsoft partner incentive earnings against claims and payouts.
Tax filings (UAE VAT and Corporate Tax) are handled by an external tax consultancy — your role is to keep transaction data clean, complete, and VAT-compliant so they can file with confidence. You will also support annual statutory audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and responses to auditor queries.
You will maintain books for the UAE entity and coordinate with branch bookkeepers in Egypt, KSA, India, and the UK on intercompany transactions.
Qualifications
- Hands-on expert with Zoho Books — mandatory. Configuration, automation, and reporting, not just data entry
- 3–6 years of accounting experience, ideally in IT services, consulting, technology, or SaaS
- Demonstrated experience producing P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements independently
- Working knowledge of UAE VAT and UAE Corporate Tax principles (you will not file, but must keep transaction data compliant)
- Strong general ledger management, account reconciliation, and multi-currency experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel — pivots, lookups, SUMIFS, dashboarding
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Fluent English (Arabic is a strong plus)
- IFRS reporting basis
- Self-driven and able to work independently in a remote setup
- ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CA (qualified or part-qualified) preferred
- Prior experience in a Microsoft partner, cloud services, or system integrator business — strong plus
- Familiarity with Power BI or Dynamics 365 — plus
