About The Founder
Amardeep Singh is an IIT Bombay alumnus & an aerospace engineer by education. He was a founding member of ideaForge - currently India's biggest drone company & the first drone company to get listed on the Indian stock exchange.
His 16-year entrepreneurial journey is marked by a series of ambitious ventures spanning across diverse tech domains like Drones, Consumer Hardware, B2B SaaS & AI.

Requirements
About this role
You will take full ownership of Armory's end-to-end accounting operations. From maintaining daily books to ensuring flawless GST and TDS compliance, you'll be the custodian of financial accuracy across the organisation. The role requires strong foundational knowledge, meticulous execution, and proven proficiency in Zoho Books.
- Manage daily accounting: sales, purchases, expenses, journals, and reconciliations in Zoho Books.
- Maintain accurate books for project costs, R&D spends, fixed assets, and inventory.
- Handle full GST lifecycle: fillings (monthly/quarterly), reconciliations (GSTR-1/3B/2B), e-invoicing, and e-way bills.
- Manage TDS: deductions, payments, returns, and 26AS reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L, and balance sheet schedules; support project-wise profitability tracking.
- Coordinate statutory, tax, and internal audits with timely documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and compliance processes aligned with defence-tech operations and contracts.
Must Haves
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter with 5-10 years of accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, and corporate tax compliance.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Zoho Books; Solid Excel skills.
- Exposure to manufacturing, defence or tech environments.
Bonus Points For
- Experience managing cost centres, inventories, or multi-project books.
- Prior work in early-stage or fast-scaling organisation.
- Familiarity with the Companies Act and Income Tax requirements.

- How to ace: Walk us through your experience, how you think. You can present your work, showcase past projects, or demonstrate your technical approach in whatever format you're most comfortable with. We're looking for clarity, depth, and practical problem-solving.

Work Location:
Armory highly values having employees working in the office. We are establishing a collaborative work environment and company culture, and that simply does not happen from home. We are based out of Gurugram and require employees to be in the office.

What your first 3 months at Armory will look like:
30 Days
- Complete onboarding and internalise Armory's mission, operating style, and financial stack.
- Deep-dive into books, cash flow, funding status, and compliance posture.
- Run a financial health audit: revenue, expenses, burn, and risk hotspots.
- Review vendor contracts, payroll, and statutory filings to identify fixes or gaps.
- Set up a working rhythm with R&D, production, HR, and Supply Chain to map cost drivers.
- Deliver an initial visibility report to the Founder with findings and quick wins.
60 Days
- Build standardized financial dashboards for cash flow, P&L, and cost centers.
- Sync financial planning with production timelines, procurement cycles, and hiring plans.
- Co-develop forecasting models and fund utilization frameworks with Founders and investors.
- Establish internal controls, audit-readiness workflows, and a roadmap for ERP/automation.
- Support investor reporting, compliance documentation, and due diligence readiness.
90 Days
- Lead strategic financial planning for production scale-up, R&D expansion, and global ops.
- Build long-term capital allocation plans tied to product and revenue milestones.
- Refine pricing, procurement, and vendor payment models for financial efficiency.
- Set up risk management systems for taxation, compliance, and defence-sector nuances.
- Drive investor communication, translating engineering progress into financial outcomes.
- Define your long-term roadmap and strengthen Armory’s financial backbone as we scale.
