Job Title: Senior Accountant & Compliance Specialist (Independent Role)
Experience: 6–7 Years (Non-BPO background preferred)
Location: Minto Park, Kolkata
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Professional with 6–7 years of hands-on experience in core accounting functions. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, managing end-to-end accounting operations, and ensuring timely statutory compliance. Candidates with a background in infrastructure related accounting or financial services will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations independently
- Maintain books of accounts in Tally with accuracy and timeliness
- Handle all statutory compliances including:
- GST filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliation, etc.)
- Professional Tax (PTax)
- TDS returns and related compliance
- Other applicable regulatory filings
- Solely responsible for preparation and filing of annual returns
- Perform bank reconciliations and ledger scrutiny
- Prepare financial statements and MIS reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
- Coordinate with auditors and assist in audits
- Maintain proper documentation and records for all financial transactions
Key Requirements
- 6–7 years of relevant accounting experience (non-BPO)
- Strong working knowledge of Tally
- Thorough understanding of GST, PTax, TDS, and other statutory compliances
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Inter candidates will be given higher preference
- Experience in banking or financial services accounting is an added advantage
Salary Range
- ₹4.5 LPA (depending on experience, compliance expertise, and industry exposure)
