Role Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented finance professional with 8–11 years of experience to manage end-to-end accounting operations for our India entity. This role requires strong expertise in Indian GAAP, statutory compliance, and multi-country financial reporting, including monthly reporting to the US parent company and close coordination with associate entities in Spain and the UK.
The candidate is expected to independently drive month-end closures, ensure compliance, manage intercompany accounting, and act as a key finance partner in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Month-End Close (Ownership Role)
• Lead end-to-end month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Review and approve journal entries, general ledger, AP/AR activities
• Ensure accurate books of accounts in compliance with Indian GAAP
• Perform and review bank, vendor, and intercompany reconciliations
Financial & Group Reporting
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Own monthly reporting to the US parent company, including reporting packs and schedules
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights to management
• Support group consolidation and ensure accuracy of financial data
Intercompany & Global Coordination
• Own intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and eliminations across India, US, Spain, and UK entities
• Work closely with finance teams in Spain and the UK to align transactions and close timelines
• Ensure accurate accounting of cross-border transactions, including transfer pricing considerations
• Resolve intercompany mismatches proactively and ensure timely confirmations
Compliance & Statutory Leadership
• Ensure full compliance with Indian regulatory requirements, including:
• GST filings and reconciliations
• TDS returns and compliance
• Income tax provisions and filings
o ROC filings and Companies Act requirements
• Lead coordination with statutory auditors, tax consultants, and internal auditors
• Ensure audit readiness and timely closure of audit observations
Controls, Process Improvement & Automation
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to global policies
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives
• Standardize accounting practices across entities where applicable
Stakeholder & Team Management
• Act as a key point of contact for the US parent company finance team
• Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders across time zones
• Mentor junior team members (if applicable) and review their work
Key Requirements
• Experience: 8–11 years in accounting/finance, preferably in a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP and statutory compliance
• Proven experience in multi-country reporting and intercompany accounting
• Hands-on experience in monthly close and reporting to global HQ (US preferred)
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
• Strong communication skills to interact with global stakeholders
Preferred Skills
• Exposure to US GAAP / IFRS
• Experience in software/IT services industry
• Understanding of transfer pricing and cross-border accounting
• Prior experience in team handling or mentoring
