Role Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Account Associate to manage financial transactions, ensure accurate reporting, and support compliance activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while supervising junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review journal entries Vehicle Maintenance, Leasing, Insurance, Reimbursement, Office Expense and Monthly Books closure entries
· Maintain vendor records and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
• Handle high-frequency payments to drivers, workshops, and OEM vendors
• Revenue Accounting and Reconciliation with Ride Hailing Platform Like OLA, UBER and Rapido
• Maintain vendor master data, reconciliations, and ageing analysis
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns and reconciliation with books of accounts.
• Compute and process TDS deductions, prepare TDS workings, and file quarterly TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, etc.).
• Reconcile TDS payable with Form 26AS/TRACES portal.
• Monitor statutory due dates and ensure timely compliance to avoid penalties.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and MIS reports
• Support internal and external audits
• Coordinate with banks, vendors, and internal departments
• Review work completed by junior associates
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency
· Ensure GST compliance including ITC eligibility, RCM where applicable, and 180-day payment rule
• Handle TDS deductions and timely deposit for vendors and service providers
• Support statutory audits, internal audits, and aggregator audits with accurate documentation
