Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Academic Counsellor who can guide prospective students in choosing the right media and communication programs. The candidate will play a key role in student counselling, admissions, lead conversion, and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
* Counsel prospective students regarding courses in journalism, filmmaking, acting, radio jockeying, and mass communication
* Handle walk-ins, telephonic enquiries, WhatsApp leads, and online leads
* Understand student interests and guide them toward suitable programs
* Convert enquiries into confirmed admissions
* Maintain strong follow-up with prospective students and parents
* Maintain and update lead data in CRM or admission records
* Coordinate with marketing and academic teams regarding admissions campaigns
* Conduct career guidance sessions and counselling meetings
* Achieve monthly admission targets
Required Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong sales and counselling ability
* Ability to handle high-volume student enquiries
* Good knowledge of education counselling and admissions process
* Comfortable with CRM systems, Excel, and lead management
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in Mass Communication, Marketing, or Management)
* 3–7 years experience in education counselling, admissions, or academic advising
* Experience in media or creative education institutes will be an advantage
