Role Description The Senior Academic Consultant is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida. The person in this role will guide prospective students in selecting suitable online and distance degree programs by assessing their academic background, career goals, and preferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one consultations, explaining program structures, eligibility, fees, and accreditation, and helping students compare universities and courses. The Senior Academic Consultant will maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow up on inquiries, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth admissions journey. The role also involves contributing to process improvements, mentoring junior counselors, and upholding Degree Drishti’s standards of transparency and ethics in every interaction.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear spoken and written communication and active listening.
- Candidates should possess solid Education-related knowledge, such as familiarity with higher education systems, online and distance learning, and accreditation standards.
- Candidates should possess Consulting skills, including needs assessment, academic and career advising, and solution-oriented guidance.
- Candidates should possess Coaching skills to support and motivate students in making informed educational and career decisions.
- Candidates should possess responsible Sales skills, focused on ethical, consultative enrollment support rather than pressure-based selling.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in academic counseling, admissions, or education consulting, ideally in online or distance education, is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Noida, manage multiple student cases, use CRM or similar tools, and maintain high professional integrity is required.
