Job Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Animator with strong expertise in Blender and Unity Timeline to create high-quality animations for mobile games. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of character animation, game-ready asset optimization, and mobile performance constraints. You will work closely with designers, developers, and artists to deliver engaging and polished gameplay experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality character, creature, and environment animations using Blender and Unity timeline
- Rig, skin, and animate 3D characters for mobile game projects
- Export and integrate animations into Unity Timeline
- Optimize animation assets for mobile performance (low memory & CPU usage)
- Collaborate with game designers to ensure animations enhance gameplay feel
- Implement and refine animation transitions, timing, and polish
- Troubleshoot animation-related issues within Unity
- Maintain animation pipelines and documentation
- Mentor junior animators and review animation quality
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional animation experience (game industry preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Blender and unity (rigging, skinning, keyframe animation)
- Strong experience with Unity Timeline
- Solid understanding of animation principles (weight, timing, squash & stretch, anticipation)
- Experience optimizing assets for mobile platforms (iOS & Android)
- Knowledge of root motion vs in-place animations
- Strong understanding of character rigging and deformation
- Experience working with Git or other version control systems
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with mobile casual, hyper-casual, or mid-core games
- Experience with procedural animation or IK systems
- Understanding of shaders and VFX integration in Unity
