About the role
Essential Functions
- Serve and prep food while maintaining a clean/sanitary work station.
- Estimate quantities of food required for daily menus.
- Serve food in portions, set up food trays, and clean stove and work tables.
- Notify supervisor of immediate supply needs.
- Perform related duties as necessary when asked by immediate supervisor.
- Follow all facility and departmental safety, security, and health policies and procedures. Utilize all safe work practices at all times.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
- Works in well-lit/ventilated areas.
- Subject to sudden temperature changes. May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures in the kitchen.
- Subject to falls, cuts, burns from equipment, hot foods, infectious diseases, odors, etc., throughout the work day.
- Subject to small work space.

- Follows safe work practices, takes an active interest in preventing injury or illness and promoting a safe and healthful environment for self and others, and complies with Hospital and governmental safety regulations.
