Role Description
The SEN (Special Educational Needs) Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. The SEN Coordinator will oversee the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring alignment with their learning goals. Responsibilities include coordinating with teachers, specialists, and parents to provide appropriate interventions, monitoring progress, and updating plans as needed. The coordinator will also provide training and support to staff on inclusive teaching strategies and stay updated with the latest developments in special education practices. Fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment is at the core of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in developing and managing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Proficiency in coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, specialists, and parents, to address student needs
- Expertise in identifying and addressing diverse learning needs, including developmental assessments and intervention strategies
- Familiarity with training and mentoring teachers on implementing effective inclusive education practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- A degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field; additional certifications in inclusive education or SEN are an advantage
- Prior experience in an IB school environment is preferred but not required
