About The Role
What if your deep expertise in semiconductor materials or molecular modeling could directly shape how AI reasons about the physical world? We're looking for Material Science specialists — Masters and PhD holders — to work alongside world-leading AI research teams, helping train cutting-edge models to think more rigorously about advanced materials science.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for researchers and domain experts who want to apply their knowledge to one of the most consequential technology challenges of our time. No prior AI experience needed — your scientific expertise is what matters.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and critically review advanced material science problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or related disciplines to design complex, rigorous problem statements
- Evaluate AI-generated responses for scientific accuracy, depth, and reasoning quality
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance model reasoning capabilities
- Ensure scientific rigor, clarity, and depth across all deliverables
- Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Material Science or a closely related field
- Deep expertise in semiconductor materials, molecular modeling, or adjacent research areas
- Comfortable coding in Python or MATLAB for research or technical problem-solving
- Exceptionally clear written communicator — you can translate complex science into precise, structured language
- Detail-oriented and rigorous, with high standards for scientific accuracy
- Fluent in English
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows
- Background in applied semiconductor research, materials characterization, or computational materials science
- Experience writing technical documentation, research papers, or structured problem sets
- Familiarity with AI tools or large language models as an end user
